Each year MTN Takes local elementary students to various Nursing Homes throughout Monmouth and Ocean County (NJ). Students make homemade Valentine Cards, they hand deliver a Card and Teddy Bear to brighten the day of an elderly person or someone in rehab. Some residents don’t receive visits often, so a visit from MTN makes a huge difference. This year we have added a stop and will be partnering with a local VFW in Long Branch to bring this same joy to veterans as well.
Great job to everyone who came out today for MTN’s Bears of Care Nursing Home Project.
We thank Autumn, Soleil, Shayne, Samara and Jackson for giving up their Saturday to visit 3 Nursing Homes and partnering with the VFW to bring joy to Veterans for Valentine’s Day
We appreciate all the students from Summerfield Elementary in Neptune, Monroe Township High School FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) and Laura Donovan school in Freehold for making such beautiful cards for the residents.
And thank you to all those who donated teddy bears. The residents truly were touched by the visit today.
